Benefit, the cosmetics brand, was rapidly scaling its influencer program—reporting a 109% increase in total Earned Media Value (EMV) and a 22% growth in its ambassador community from 2017 to 2018—and needed a streamlined way to monitor and conduct outreach across three influencer tiers (Tier 1, Tier 2 and FWB). To solve this, Benefit implemented CreatorIQ’s Campaigns software and leveraged CreatorIQ’s proprietary EMV metric to benchmark like-for-like influencer activity and track campaign performance.
By using CreatorIQ to measure EMV by ambassador tier, quickly add notable profiles, and generate monthly performance reports, Benefit identified high-performing influencers and refined its activations (including a Roller Liner pop-up and the #HoolaTrip). The program yielded measurable results: a 63% year-over-year increase in EMV generated by like-for-like content, alongside the earlier gains in total EMV and ambassador community—demonstrating CreatorIQ’s clear impact.
