A Creatopy Case Study
Creatopy, an ad design platform, conducted an advertising experiment for its own SaaS product on Pinterest. The challenge was to determine whether static image ads or video ads would perform better on the platform in terms of reach and generating high-quality traffic for conversions.
The solution involved running two separate campaigns with a $2,000 budget, each targeting the same audience but using a different ad format. Creatopy found that its static ads significantly outperformed the video ads, generating 498 outbound clicks versus 179, and 3 conversions versus 2. The static ads also achieved a wider reach with 444,694 impressions and a lower average cost-per-click of $1.21. This experiment validated that for top-of-funnel awareness, concise static ads were more effective for Creatopy on Pinterest.
