Puraite restructures AI review navigation from 13 to 4 items with Creative Navy

Creative Navy was engaged by Puraite, a developer of an AI-assisted systematic review tool for academic and clinical research. The challenge was to optimize the user experience of their beta-stage web application, which required designing complex human-in-the-loop AI interactions for screening and data extraction. This work had to be accomplished under significant constraints, including no direct access to end users for research and a product that was already partially built.

The solution implemented by Creative Navy involved a complete restructuring of the application's navigation from 13 top-level items down to 4, organized around the user's workflow. They designed key features including an AI criteria recommendation display that shows supporting evidence directly and a data extraction interface that communicates AI confidence with explicit percentages and color-coding. As a result, the client reported a significant shift in user perception, with users finding the tool now fit their work, which enabled Puraite to successfully move from beta into a user acquisition and growth phase.
