American Galvanizers Association Members support two 165,000+ lb HCl tanks with Creative Composites Group

Creative Composites Group provided a solution for members of the American Galvanizers Association who were facing a severe corrosion problem. The structural supports for two hydrochloric acid storage tanks at a Florida galvanizing plant were failing due to constant exposure to corrosive fumes and potential leaks, leading to high maintenance and replacement costs.

The vendor implemented a corrosion-resistant solution using their TuffSpan flanged tube beams to support the massive tanks. Creative Composites Group also supplied additional FRP framing and panels to enclose the entire area. This installation successfully eliminated the corrosion issues, greatly reducing recurring maintenance costs and downtime, which will result in significant long-term savings for the customer.
