VoIPstudio, a global cloud telephone provider, needed a more scalable way to manage growing call detail records (CDRs) across a distributed system of over 100 servers and multiple data centers. Their MySQL setup struggled with imports and queries—imports of 100M+ records could take nearly a week and queries on 25–30M rows took 10–15 seconds—so they looked for a higher‑performance database solution.
