Roomonitor is an IoT climate-control provider for the hospitality industry that monitors noise and temperature with thousands of sensors to detect AC use, open windows/doors, and occupancy across thousands of locations in 17 cities. Faced with the need for reliable, real-time insight to prevent wasted energy and AC costs, Roomonitor selected Crate.io’s CrateDB as a purpose-built IoT database to meet its availability and performance requirements.

Crate.io implemented CrateDB to ingest high-concurrency sensor data and scale simply, replacing solutions like MongoDB that were difficult and costly to scale.
