Case Study: AVUXI achieves fast, scalable geolocation data processing for 65M locations and 20M events/day with Crate.io's CrateDB

A Crate.io Case Study

Preview of the AVUXI Case Study

AVUXI Processes Billions of Events from 65 Million Locations with CrateDB

AVUXI, a location-intelligence provider, needed to collect and query geotagged data at massive scale—covering over 65 million locations and processing more than 20 million events per day. To meet that demand they deployed CrateDB from Crate.io to ingest and search large volumes of location data, aiming for fast queries, easy data import/export, and simple management.

Crate.io implemented CrateDB across AVUXI’s cluster (initially a 4‑node cluster with ~800 million records) and quickly delivered a hotfix when AVUXI hit a concurrent INSERT issue, ensuring all users benefited from the fix. Today AVUXI runs two 3‑node CrateDB clusters and reports much faster, more efficient data collection and querying, reliable geolocation support, and strong vendor support—allowing them to handle billions of events and recommend CrateDB to others.
