A Crane Electronics Group Case Study

Preview of the Stellantis Case Study

Introducing a time-efficient and portable tool testing solution for global automotive industry leader Stellantis

Stellantis, a leading global automotive manufacturer, sought to improve the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of its assembly tool testing and auditing process at its UK plant. They required a more time-efficient solution to ensure the quality and safety of their products.

Crane Electronics implemented a portable Mobile Torque Testing Station (MTTS) solution, combining a TorqueStar data collector, CheckStar Multi torque transducers, and OMS software. This provided Crane's customer with high-precision torque measurement and a simple process for recording and storing audit data. The solution substantially improved the previously manual process, allowing for greater traceability with minimal downtime and ensuring all assembly tools deliver the required torque tightening levels for high-quality products.
