CES Europe Ltd measures 500Nm in 0.7 seconds with Crane Electronics Group

Crane Electronics Group developed a performance testing solution for CES Europe Ltd, a leading supplier of pit lane equipment for motorsports. The challenge was to provide CES with a way to prove to their customers that their impact wheel guns could achieve a specified high torque level within an extremely short, allocated time period, replicating realistic pit lane conditions.

The solution implemented by Crane Electronics was a custom test unit incorporating up-rated high-torque static transducers, joint kits, a TorqueStar Pro data collector, and tailored OMS Lite software. This system was able to measure 500Nm in just 0.7 seconds, providing the hard data and trace graphs CES needed to physically demonstrate the speed and accuracy of their tools to their customers in the motorsport industry. CES Europe Ltd was very happy with the overall solution, which they subsequently displayed at a major industry exhibition.
