Marriott Streaming Enterprise Video in the Hybrid Cloud

Marriott International needed a simple way to live stream its Awards of Excellence ceremony to employees around the world. The company wanted a solution that could support 10,000 simultaneous viewers, offer DVR-like rewind for late joiners, record the stream for later use, and collect viewing analytics. Crafter Software was part of the content management workflow supporting the VOD library for playback across devices.

Crafter Software and Rivet Logic implemented a hybrid cloud video workflow using AWS services including MediaLive, MediaPackage, CloudFront, S3, and Elastic Transcoder, with Crafter Video Center used for the VOD content management layer. The solution delivered a smooth global live stream, enabled live-to-VOD reuse, and captured detailed viewership data through CloudFront and Adobe Analytics. Marriott benefited from automatic scaling, strong performance for a large audience, and lower costs through cloud pay-as-you-go pricing.
