Harvard Business Publishing - Customer Case Study

Harvard Business Publishing (HBP), a subsidiary of Harvard University, needed to replace a collection of aging, disparate legacy systems that were causing downtime, integration problems, IT bottlenecks, and rising operating costs. HBP also wanted to give business users easier publishing tools so it could produce fresher content faster, improve the visitor experience, and grow traffic and revenue. Crafter Software provided the web content management technology as part of the solution.

Crafter Software, working with Rivet Logic and Alfresco, helped HBP implement a flexible, open source web content management platform using Crafter Engine and Alfresco ECM. The new system unified content management, improved navigation and faceted search, and reduced average page load times to under one second. As a result, HBP gained greater editorial control, easier multi-site management, stronger brand consistency, and new opportunities to increase site traffic, ad sales, and eCommerce revenue.
