Roswell 911 Dispatch Center Remains Resilient During Emergencies with Fast Pop-Up Network

The City of Roswell, Georgia needed to ensure its Roswell 911 Emergency Communications Center could remain fully operational during natural or man‑made emergencies that might require evacuation. To maintain continuous call answering and rapid response times, the city turned to Cradlepoint, deploying NetCloud Service for Branch along with an AER Series dual‑modem router with embedded LTE.

Cradlepoint delivered a pop‑up network with routing, WAN link termination, firewall, cloud configuration/troubleshooting, VPN access to CAD and city files, and dual‑carrier connectivity for automatic redundancy. The solution supports four 911 laptops, multiple IP phones, and day‑1 deployment, letting Roswell recreate “99%” of its main center functions and operate from temporary sites for days as needed—ensuring 911 calls continue to be answered.
