GridBox & Cradlepoint Leverage Digital Retail Engagement; Help Major Retailers Drive Super Bowl XLVIII Sales

GridBox Media, a cloud-based platform for controlling in-store digital screen networks, needed a scalable, secure way to deploy interactive Super Bowl XLVIII campaigns across major retail locations without engaging each retailer’s IT team. To support omnichannel digital signage and capture customer interaction data in-store, GridBox partnered with Cradlepoint, using Cradlepoint routing devices with 4G LTE and Cradlepoint NetCloud Manager for connectivity and remote management.

Cradlepoint supplied 4G LTE routers and NetCloud Manager so GridBox could create its own networks, remotely deploy and manage 42 screens, and collect real-time analytics on scans and store traffic. Cradlepoint’s solution enabled firmware updates, device monitoring, and WAN analytics that let GridBox advise merchandisers, drive higher attachment rates and sales during the Super Bowl campaign, and even create a data-usage upsell based on measured bandwidth consumption.
