Densely Populated State Uses Cradlepoint to Securely Connect Modern Voting System

The State Board of Election was modernizing an outdated paper-based voting system to use e-poll books and tablets but found its MiFi devices did not provide the security or bandwidth required. To solve this, the State Board of Election turned to Cradlepoint and its NetCloud Service to support a modern, secure pop-up network for voting sites.

Cradlepoint deployed cloud-managed wireless edge routers with dual LTE modems and NetCloud Service across more than 1,000 early voting and polling locations, giving the agency much higher speeds, centralized management, automatic multi-carrier failover, and built-in firewall protection. The implementation delivered measurable improvements in performance and reliability, included cybersecurity penetration testing with the state IT team, and securely supported voting operations for a population of over 8 million.
