Cradlepoint Solutions Enable Pop-Up 4G LTE Connectivity & WiFi in School Buses, Classrooms & at Live Events

Spring Hill Schools, a K–12 district serving about 3,000 students and rapidly growing, needed a portable, easy-to-deploy wireless network for buses, classrooms, live events and emergency backup without the time and cost of running new fiber or expensive bus-provider plans. To meet those needs they selected Cradlepoint and its NetCloud Service for Branch (portable router-in-a-box) to deliver LTE WAN connectivity, WiFi and cloud-managed routing.

Cradlepoint deployed purpose-built LTE routers with NetCloud Manager to provide pop-up WiFi on any bus, at sporting events, in classrooms and as an emergency backup. The solution gave Spring Hill Schools seamless device connectivity, cloud-based configuration and remote troubleshooting, and—per the district—saved “thousands of dollars” by avoiding fiber installation and ongoing maintenance/replacement costs, while enabling expanded learning, athletic use and planned future growth.
