City Improves Connectivity & Security With Cloud-Managed, Software Defined Virtual Cloud Network

The City of Page, Arizona, needed constant, cost-effective network uptime and secure interconnectivity between city hall, the police and fire departments, and mobile units to protect citizen services and data. To solve unreliable remote connectivity and the growing complexity of managing multiple networks and IoT devices, the City of Page turned to Cradlepoint and its NetCloud Service for Branch (including NetCloud Manager and NetCloud Perimeter/SD‑Perimeter).

Cradlepoint deployed purpose‑built wired/Wi‑Fi/LTE routers with embedded LTE, NetCloud Manager, SD‑Perimeter, SD‑WAN and cloud‑managed security (firewall, IDS/IPS), plus dual‑modem/dual‑SIM load balancing. The result is reliable LTE primary WAN in police vehicles (enabling on‑board tablets), LTE failover at fixed sites, a single pane of glass for remote management and seconds‑fast updates, fully encrypted traffic with microsegmentation, reduced man‑hours versus traditional VPNs, and lower data costs — all delivered by Cradlepoint.
