A Cradlepoint Case Study
Carlo’s Bakery, the family-owned shop made famous by TLC’s Cake Boss, was rapidly expanding nationally and internationally and became heavily dependent on cloud services for POS, inventory, email and order management. To move beyond a single-ISP SOHO setup and ensure uninterrupted customer service as new locations opened, Carlo’s Bakery turned to Cradlepoint and its ARC Series routers and NetCloud Manager SaaS platform for advanced wireless failover and centralized remote management.
Cradlepoint implemented ARC Series LTE failover in conjunction with the existing firewall and used NetCloud Manager to provide cloud-based, minute-by-minute visibility and control across dispersed locations. The deployment was straightforward and delivered measurable reliability and operational gains—enabling continuous service (the Times Square store handles about 1,500 transactions/day), rapid site activation when wired service isn’t yet available, and improved executive dashboards and efficiencies through Cradlepoint’s centralized management.
