Allegiant Airlines Depends on Cradlepoint to Stay Up & Running in Emergencies

Allegiant Air, a Las Vegas–based low-cost carrier, needed a fast, reliable way to keep its Operations Control Center running during emergencies such as power outages, severed fiber lines, or floods. The airline had already been using Cradlepoint COR Series devices with NetCloud Manager to quickly provide Internet access at check-in counters and gates, and wanted a portable failover solution to restore critical operations rapidly when infrastructure failed.

Cradlepoint provided an "Operations Control Center in a box" — rugged cases containing laptops, printers, cabling and preconfigured Cradlepoint COR Series routers managed via NetCloud Manager. As a result, Allegiant can unpack the kits, turn on the Cradlepoint devices, and be back in business in under an hour (versus at least a day previously), while NetCloud Manager enables firmware updates and configuration changes in minutes, improving business continuity and operational resilience.
