Standard Bank needed a cost-effective way to expand its ATM channel across Africa while meeting local regulatory requirements in each country and maintaining central control from headquarters. The bank also wanted to simplify its complex back-office environment and use self-service technology to improve customer experience. It chose CR2 for a long-term ATM banking software solution, including BankWorld Channel Manager and related ATM management tools.

CR2 implemented BankWorld Hub, ATM Manager, ATM Studio, ATM Distributor, ATM Custodian and ATM Support Tool to centrally manage more than 800 ATMs across 11 African countries, while still supporting local host systems for regulatory compliance. The result was lower operating costs, higher ATM uptime, faster rollout of new services, improved remote support, and stronger brand consistency across markets. CR2’s solution also helped Standard Bank improve customer satisfaction and support its expansion strategy with a stable, scalable platform.
