Mammut - Customer Case Study

Mammut, a major retailer, faced challenges in achieving the right level of detail for its carbon accounting. The company needed to accurately identify carbon hotspots and attribute emission factors across all scopes, especially within its largest emissions category, Purchased Goods and Services. Data availability and reliability were significant obstacles, and their previous Excel-based models were too limited to meet their high requirements for decarbonization.

Using the Cozero platform, Mammut gained a structured overview and full transparency over its carbon accounting. Cozero provided a wide range of emission factors and an adaptable, efficient data entry process, enabling decentralized management across departments. As a result, Mammut has now added over 54 products to the platform, entered 600+ data points for 2021, and applied 200 specific emission factors, providing a granular, holistic view of its emissions to power its ambitious decarbonization strategy.
