LeanIX, a software company with 600 employees, faced a challenge in its sustainability journey. While its initial manual dashboard for tracking the carbon footprint from business travel was successful, the process had significant shortcomings that required improvement. To professionalize its carbon emission tracking, LeanIX turned to the vendor Cozero and its product, Cozero Log.

By implementing Cozero's solution, LeanIX was able to fully digitize its carbon accounting. Cozero Log calculated and analyzed the company's footprint in near-real time and forecasted future sustainability paths. This allowed LeanIX to account for 40 log categories in its first year, identify six new emission categories, and establish a baseline for reduction. As a result, LeanIX gained the confidence to make data-backed decisions on how to reduce its footprint, with key insights revealing that cloud hosting and employee commuting were major contributing factors.
