Learning Journeys helps Dogs Trust staff find more time, save £100,000 per year and transform clinic management

Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity caring for around 14,000 dogs through its network of rehoming centres, needed to modernise and replace its clinical software across all sites while improving clinical workflows. They selected Covetrus Software Services to deploy RxWorks Practice Management Software, supported by the Covetrus Learning solution, to deliver a seamless, organisation-wide digital transformation.

Covetrus Software Services ran a “big bang” rollout of RxWorks with face-to-face and virtual pilots, a progress tracker and 12 weeks of hyper-care, upskilling 400 clinical staff (including 66 superusers) across 24 sites. The implementation standardised workflows and stock control, delivered real‑time data integration and data cleansing, won a Gold Learning Technologies Award, and produced measurable gains — efficiencies across 15 key workflows saving 10,834 staff hours and £97,508 annually, with over 80% of clinical users reporting large improvements in speed, quality or ease of use.
