Case Study: LaunchDarkly achieves faster, secure feature release notifications with Courier

A Courier Case Study

Preview of the LaunchDarkly Case Study

LaunchDarkly allows customers to automate feature releases with Courier

LaunchDarkly, a feature management platform for engineers, needed a secure, reliable way to support its Feature Workflows product with notifications and approvals. As its existing transactional email solution became less suitable and the company scaled, LaunchDarkly looked for a multi-channel communications platform that could integrate with its stack and meet GDPR and SOC2 requirements. Courier was selected to help power these automation and notification use cases.

Using Courier’s Routing Engine, Rendering Engine, and webhooks-based integrations, LaunchDarkly added flexible notifications across email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, while continuing to work with Mailbin under the hood. The implementation made approvals easier to manage, reduced internal approval time, and improved coordination for customers; LaunchDarkly also gained the ability to debug email issues through logs. Courier helped LaunchDarkly deliver feature releases with more speed, security, and coordination.
