Coca Cola European Partners Belgium aimed to stimulate and reward correct recycling behavior, particularly at festivals. They partnered with the vendor Coupontools to provide the technological system for a new, fully automated garbage bin and a gamified promotional campaign.

The solution implemented by Coupontools involved a bin that dispensed a QR code when a bottle was deposited. Scanning the code led to a digital "Scratch & Win" coupon offering a chance to win a cinema ticket. This phygital campaign successfully used a fun, digital experience as a major trigger to encourage recycling. While not every user won, the campaign effectively captured data and automated the reward distribution process for winners.
