Telenor Group is a leading telecommunications company with about 175 million mobile users, roughly $10.8B in annual sales, and a central procurement office in Singapore that manages around $5B of spend each year. Facing a fragmented, multi-country procurement landscape, multiple currencies and languages, and high volumes of manual, repetitive tasks, Telenor needed a user-friendly platform to centralize visibility, eliminate maverick spend, and meet KPIs such as touchless invoices and shorter cycle times.

Since 2018 Telenor has used Coupa’s cloud BSM platform to centralize procurement, automate transactions, run e-sourcing auctions and give suppliers a 360° view of their relationship. The implementation improved compliance and adoption, sped supplier onboarding, strengthened cash flow, and cut invoice cycle times from 27 days to an average of 6 days, while supporting Telenor’s strategic “touch free” ambitions.
