Enterasys Networks, a global provider of wired and wireless network infrastructure and security solutions, needed to replace a legacy purchasing application and preferred a cloud-based platform. They selected Coupa and chose a two-phase rollout so they could go live quickly while leaving SAP integration for later. The team configured and deployed Coupa globally to 1,000 users within about three months despite holiday delays.

Coupa now handles requisition-to-PO flow, approvals, spend reporting and benchmarking, with automated approvals by cost center/commodity, SAML single sign-on via Okta, and a robust API for SAP integration. The implementation (86 days from start, 92 days contract-to-go-live) supported a global rollout across multiple regions, 1,200+ GL accounts, 2,600+ suppliers, 160 approval rules and account security groups; next steps include integrating POs, vendor master, exchange rates and automated user provisioning into SAP via Coupa APIs.
