Major Ride-Sharing Company - Customer Case Study

One of the largest ride‑sharing companies in China faced an inefficient, user‑unfriendly purchasing process that generated end‑user complaints. To address this, the company launched a 10‑week Coupa implementation in November 2016 and went live on January 16, 2017, with a redesigned Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) process aimed at improving user experience, streamlining approvals, increasing contract compliance, and enabling suppliers. The solution rollout covered 949 active users, 965 suppliers and 646 catalog items.

The implementation delivered a cloud P2P solution integrated with PeopleSoft and Oracle EBS, supplier enablement (cXML/SAN), mobility support, training and hypercare. Six months after go‑live the program processed 8,000 POs totaling over $451 million, 4,000 invoices and managed 100 contracts, while improving process efficiency, increasing spend under management and enabling electronic sourcing, ordering and invoicing for suppliers.
