An American electronic design automation and engineering services company that produces software for integrated circuit design engaged to deploy Coupa globally. The challenge was to configure the platform to support standardized procurement and finance processes across 30+ countries (6,500 users, 30,000 suppliers, 3,500 approval chains, 40 buying policies, 8 languages) while delivering complex integrations with SAP (11 business objects) and Workday within a staged 9‑month rollout.

The solution implemented Coupa for requisitions, approvals, budgeting, purchase orders, receiving, invoicing and reporting, with dynamic accounting and punchout support, plus automated bi‑directional integrations into SAP (POs, invoices, payments, suppliers, accounts, exchange rates, approvals, etc.) and Workday user sync. The rollout completed globally in nine months, and after two months in production the system processed 3,700 purchase orders and 2,000 invoices, delivering streamlined, standardized procurement across operating units.
