Axia Case Study Scaling Accounts Payable Efficiencies with Coupa

Axia Women’s Health, a rapidly growing network of more than 150 care centers and 400 providers, faced a scalability problem from a largely paper-based invoice process. Decentralized approvals and manual scanning meant spend was often managed after the fact, reducing visibility, increasing late fees, and making it difficult to control accounts payable across the organization.

Axia implemented Coupa (Procure, Supplier Risk & Management, InvoiceSmash) to move invoicing and approvals up front, standardize POs, and give centers real-time visibility into spend. Since deployment they’ve processed over 50,000 invoices, put 70% of addressable spend under management, achieved 50% electronic and 50% PO-backed invoices (with a goal of 85% PO-backed), and used the Coupa Supplier Portal to streamline supplier activity — improving cash flow, procurement control, and operational efficiency.
