How Designplan Lighting uses Countfire for efficiency on large projects

Designplan Lighting, a long-established lighting manufacturer working on large, complex projects such as Crossrail and the Doha Metro, was spending days on manual take-offs—printing drawings and marking them with highlighters—which was slow and error-prone, especially on a recent job with more than twenty detailed drawings. Seeking a modern alternative, they turned to Countfire’s automated take-off software.

Countfire automated their PDF take-offs, provided built-in checks and professional Excel exports, and allowed counting of multiple drawings at once. The result was faster, more accurate workflows—large projects that previously took several days to count can now be quoted in a day or two—improved cross-department handovers, and plans to extend Countfire use for measuring to gain further efficiency.
