Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Utilizes Countable’s Technology To Achieve Advocacy Goals And Boast Donations

Human Rights Campaign (HRC) partnered with Countable to find a better way to transform the national debate over gay marriage into compelling visual stories. HRC needed a seamless platform to collect and showcase first-person accounts from members about homophobia and discrimination, helping turn personal experiences into advocacy content.

Countable built a site focused on impact, education, and advocacy, using geo-tagging technology to let community members record videos and send them to local, state, and national lawmakers. HRC was able to approve or reject submissions through a dedicated dashboard, retain rights to the videos, and use many of them in fundraising campaigns. The effort produced hundreds of videos, more than 1,000 messages sent by members, strong engagement and conversion metrics, and a significant boost in online donations.
