Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) needed a better way to engage younger, digital-native supporters, who are less likely to become legacy donors and are increasingly costly to reach through traditional acquisition channels. EDF turned to Countable and its Causes.com platform to find a new way to build awareness, acquire supporters, and drive donations.
Countable connected EDF with the environmental community on Causes.com, packaging and promoting EDF content to users active on environmental issues and adding calls-to-action and engagement hooks to encourage participation and giving. The campaign increased EDF’s online donations by 60% versus previous online campaigns and grew its network by 2,000 people.
