Case Study: International Justice Mission drives thousands of messages to lawmakers with Countable Action

A Countable Action Case Study

Preview of the International Justice Mission Case Study

The Int’l Justice Mission (IJM) used its lawmaker messaging tool in the recent anti-trafficking direct advocacy campaign

International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global organization working to protect vulnerable people from violence and modern-day slavery. To support its #HiddenNoMore anti-trafficking advocacy campaign, IJM partnered with Countable Action and used its lawmaker messaging tool to drive a Digital March aimed at urging elected officials to protect 2019 foreign aid funding.

Countable Action helped IJM collect video messages, activate supporters through digital outreach, and coordinate a “thunderclap” advocacy moment that sent messages to lawmakers at scale. The campaign generated thousands of messages to Congress, achieved a 40% conversion rate to action-takers, and produced a 27% share rate across social media, while also helping IJM build dedicated lawmaker pages with curated constituent messages.
