Doddle provides convenient parcel pick-up and return points at dozens of locations across the U.K., helping online shoppers collect and send packages on their schedule. The company struggled with an expensive, hard-to-deploy backend and unreliable network access at many sites, which left mobile apps and in-store staff unable to work consistently during peak times.

Doddle adopted Couchbase Mobile for a faster, more affordable deployment: Couchbase Lite stores data locally so apps continue to function offline, and Sync Gateway channels let Doddle control which data each employee can access as devices move between sites. Development began in April 2016, the solution went live in under three months, and Doddle planned a large-scale rollout of additional stores in 2017.
