Couchbase helps revolutionize digital engagement for the fashion industry with Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger sought to modernize its wholesale sales experience by shortening the window between retailer previews and store delivery, reducing the cost and environmental impact of physical samples, and creating a more engaging, scalable B2B buying process. The challenge was to deliver real-time, tailored product information and one-click ordering across showrooms worldwide while maintaining performance, offline capability, and easy expansion.

Couchbase provided a flexible NoSQL data platform to power Tommy Hilfiger’s Digital Showrooms—touchscreen workstations and ultra-high‑definition theaters that let buyers browse collections, create laydowns, and place orders instantly. The rollout cut a typical buying visit from three days to one, drove sales growth in several regions, and now runs 24 showrooms with 59 workstations across nine cities (with plans to expand to 25+ locations and 100+ workstations), accelerating time to market and reducing sample production.
