End-to-end encryption for remote debugging tool

AppSpector, a remote debugging tool for iOS and Android, needed to implement end-to-end encryption to protect sensitive customer data, ensure strict isolation between clients, and comply with regulations like GDPR. They engaged Cossack Labs to build a secure data lifecycle that would prevent anyone, including their own team, from accessing customer application data.

Cossack Labs designed a secure data flow architecture using their Themis cryptographic library and components from the Acra data security suite. The solution encrypted all data at the source on the mobile device and protected it throughout the system, only allowing decryption for authenticated users in the Electron app. This deep security integration allowed AppSpector to successfully target large enterprise customers and distinguish their product from competitors.
