Determine which assessments work

Goodwill of Colorado, a thrift store organization with 2,700 employees in Colorado Springs and Denver, needed to determine which assessments were truly predictive of job performance and hiring success. Corvirtus worked with the customer on a validation study to evaluate current employees and identify the assessment tools most relevant to its workforce.

Corvirtus administered a spectrum of assessments to current employees and had supervisors complete performance evaluations, then analyzed the results to determine which assessments should be used for hiring. The study showed measurable lift for employees who passed the assessments, including managers being 14x more likely to fit in with the culture and stay, 12x more likely to be truthful and seek help, and 15x more likely to excel at core tasks; customer-facing employees were up to 16x more likely to monitor quality, 12x more likely to manage time well, and 12x more likely to solve problems logically; back-of-house employees were 12x more likely to show resilience and flexibility, 11x more likely to demonstrate overall performance skills, and 10x more likely to work without close supervision.
