A Corvil Case Study
A global forex brokerage serving 20,000+ active institutional, private and retail users and handling $1.7T in annual traded value needed to strengthen cyber defenses without degrading the high-performance trading experience that attracts clients worldwide. Although it already had strict access controls and DDoS protections, the firm lacked adequate visibility into attack indicators and unusual internal activity and needed faster triage and investigation capabilities without adding host-based logging that would impact performance.
Corvil deployed a machine-learning threat detection and cyber-risk assessment solution that analyzed ~1.25 TB/day of granular transaction and network traffic to provide baseline-deviation analysis, automated anomaly detection, correlated risk prioritization and executive/operational reporting—while using existing monitoring instrumentation. The result was more effective cyber resilience with zero impact on trading performance: broader breach-detection visibility, better collaboration between trading and security teams, stronger ROI from network analytics and low deployment complexity.
