KPIT Embraces Digital Transformation With a Different Approach to Cybersecurity

KPIT Technologies, a global technology company based in Pune, India, set out to support its “Smart Enterprise” digital transformation with a more flexible and secure cybersecurity approach. As it moved more applications to the cloud, expanded mobility and BYOD, and added IoT and software-defined infrastructure, its traditional firewall- and signature-based security model became difficult to manage and no longer provided the protection or visibility it needed. Cortex XDR was chosen as the vendor name for this security transformation, with integrated endpoint, network, and analytics capabilities playing a key role.

Cortex XDR helped KPIT deploy a broader prevention-based security platform that included next-generation firewall protection, advanced endpoint security, centralized management, threat intelligence, malware prevention, and behavioral analytics. The results were strong: KPIT reduced malware attack success from 50 percent to zero, gained one-click visibility from a single console, minimized device performance impact, and scaled without adding headcount. Automation also cut rollout cycles from six weeks to just two days, while improving detection of malware, ransomware, and other advanced threats.
