Jacobus Energy Fuels Up with Cortera

Jacobus Energy partnered with Cortera to modernize its credit and collections operations after outgrowing a manual, list-driven collections process. The company needed to lower Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), improve collection performance without adding headcount, and manage a growing portfolio driven by recent acquisitions.

Jacobus implemented eCredit’s web-based credit and collections automation along with Cortera CPR reports, scores, segmentation and business-hierarchy exposure roll-ups to drive risk-based strategies. As a result, over‑30‑day past‑due balances fell from 8.9% to 3.3%, DSO dropped from 27.3 to 20.2 days, collection activities are now automated by risk, and credit request turnaround time was reduced to minutes.
