A Green and Streamlined Student Background Program at Ohlone College

Ohlone College needed a greener, streamlined way to manage background checks for about 200 health‑science students and to meet Joint Commission HR 1.20 and contractual requirements with 10 hospital partners. The college wanted to eliminate paper-based workflows, secure student payments and confidential data, and remove the administrative burden of collecting and filing records. The solution eliminated paperwork, ensured Joint Commission and clinical-partner compliance, let students pay once for multiple rotations, archived reports offsite to reduce IT costs, and significantly reduced administrative work and turnaround times for Ohlone College.
