J. Bauer GmbH & Co. KG, a German dairy and food products group, faced the challenge of creating its first consolidated financial statement and establishing uniform group-wide reporting. The company’s heterogeneous software environment, which included SAP, Microsoft Navision, and DATEV across its subsidiaries, made efficient data consolidation and reporting difficult. To overcome this, the group turned to the integrated solutions from vendor Corporate Planning.

Corporate Planning implemented its Corporate Planner software for group reporting and CP-Cons for consolidation. This created a centralized system where data from all subsidiaries could be imported into a uniform structure. The solution enabled the rapid preparation of the holding company's first consolidated financial statement and established a framework for consistent quarterly reporting. The immediate result was that all companies could now discuss performance using the same standardized reports, and new acquisitions can be integrated into the reporting and consolidation system immediately.
