DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung - Customer Case Study

DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, Germany's air navigation service provider, needed to create a financial plan that could produce reports in accordance with both the German Commercial Code (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). To meet this challenge, DFS turned to the vendor Corporate Planning and implemented their Corporate Planner software with an integrated financial planning model.

The solution from Corporate Planning involved building three parallel accounting structures within the software to handle the different reporting formats simultaneously. By importing data from their SAP system, DFS could quickly model the impact of internal and external changes, creating a consistent and integrated plan for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. This provided the executive team with clear, web-based analyses and reports, enabling them to make informed decisions to steer the company's financial course effectively.
