Case Study: Parker Hannifin achieves divisional uniformity and ISO certification with Cority

A Cority Case Study

How Parker Hannifin Created Divisional Uniformity with Cority IQS

Parker Hannifin, a global leader in motion control manufacturing, faced a major quality-management challenge in its Hydraulic and Pneumatic Cylinder Division: a paper-based system of 50–60 manuals and the need to manage calibration for more than 50,000 gauges while meeting ISO requirements. To solve this, the division selected Cority, initially implementing the Cority device (calibration) module in 1993 as part of a broader Cority Quality Software Solution.

Using Cority, Parker Hannifin moved to an integrated, paperless system—adding modules for calibration, document control, complaints, and training integration with HR—which improved nonconformance tracking, made audits largely unnecessary (reducing prep from weeks to constant readiness), and supported divisional ISO 9001 and Ashley plant ISO 14001 certification. Cority helped cut administrative complexity and costs (estimated savings of $8–15K per module per year), streamlined processes, and provided instant data visibility that improved decision-making and supplier negotiations.
