CU WorkSafe promotes campus-wide communication to reduce hazards, injuries

Carleton University faced fragmented, hard-to-analyze incident and hazard reporting across campus and needed a way to link health and safety with facilities management. To solve this, Carleton partnered with Cority to deploy CU WorkSafe, a customized health and safety software system that integrates human resources, the security department, space management and Maximo and replaces disconnected online forms.

Cority’s CU WorkSafe now supports almost 40,000 users who can instantly report hazards and attach photos, trigger built-in notifications to managers, and aggregate data for analysis so EHS can target problem areas (for example, multiple slippery-surface reports point service providers where to act). The platform has improved campus-wide communication, increased supervisor compliance through workflow guidance, and will soon add an inspection and audit module that links deficiencies directly to the FMP work-order system.
