Tiger Cool Express - Customer Case Study

Tiger Cool Express, a Kansas-based intermodal refrigerated carrier, launched in 2014 with a technology-intensive model but quickly found its original telematics solution unreliable (severe latency and server issues). To restore real-time tracking and control of its reefer fleet, Tiger turned to Coretex and implemented the Coretex IBRIGHT telematics platform.

Coretex deployed IBRIGHT to manage 733 Tiger refrigerated containers, integrating with two TMS platforms to provide real-time, two-way monitoring and remote control of doors and temperatures, plus customer-facing portal and EDI access. As a result, Coretex delivered the reliability Tiger needed (only a few exceptions), supported the company’s 95%+ on-time door-to-door service, reduced manual drayage work and operator intervention, and exposed misuse and fuel theft so Tiger could bill offenders.
