Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) is a leading quick service restaurant freight provider handling more than 17,000 refrigerated deliveries per week to over 5,500 restaurants nationwide. Facing costly and unreliable manual temperature checks, QCD partnered with Coretex in 2012 to deploy the iBRIGHT reefer fleet management solution across hundreds of trailers for automated, continuous air-temperature monitoring and to replace driver probing processes.

Coretex worked with QCD to extend capabilities (remote reefer control, two-way communication, geofencing) and piloted CoreTemp — a sensor-plus-AI algorithm that simulates product core temperature and provides on-demand, aggregated compliance views with live route progress. The Coretex solution produced measurable savings by eliminating driver product probing at each stop, delivered real-time compliance reporting, and is expanding from the Fontana pilot to additional QCD centers in Kent and Charlotte with a planned nationwide rollout.
