A major private university was dissatisfied with its sales-focused voluntary benefits platform, which directed employees to chat or meet with enrollers instead of offering self-service. Seeking an employee-driven interface to increase participation, the university launched an RFP process. Corestream was introduced as the solution to provide this improved user experience.
Corestream implemented its platform, which featured consolidated billing and an auto insurance quoting tool that allowed employees to compare rates from three carriers. The solution also provided access to national discounts. This new employee-driven approach resulted in an 8X increase in participation within the first year. Enrollments grew by 1.5 times between the first and third year, dramatically increasing from 587 at launch to 12,661 by year three.
