Case Study: Adela Technologies achieves a secure, cost-effective hybrid cloud with CoreSite colocation and native cloud onramps

A CoreSite Case Study

Preview of the Adela Technologies Case Study

Supporting Diverse Clients in Their Digital Transformations

Adela Technologies, a Maryland-based managed security service provider supporting clients from small businesses to the Department of Defense, needed a highly secure, flexible hybrid IT environment to deliver DevSecOps, managed cloud and VMware hybrid cloud services. Because not all workloads are suited to public cloud and some require strict compliance (including FedRAMP readiness), Adela sought a solution that optimized workload placement, controlled costs and supported multi-tenant and dedicated customer environments.

CoreSite delivered secure colocation at its VA1 facility plus native onramps to major clouds (AWS, Azure, Alibaba, IBM, Oracle), enabling Adela to host multi-tenant non‑production workloads onsite, run production and dedicated environments in AWS, and use cloud-based DR and backups. The result was seamless cloud access, stronger security and compliance posture (supporting FedRAMP/FISMA needs and certifications like SOC/ISO), lower costs through competitive pricing, multi-tenancy and reduced egress fees, and operational relief as CoreSite manages the data center infrastructure.
