Goodwill Industries of Central Florida (Goodwill) needed a more reliable IT foundation to support donations, retail operations, and its sustainability cycle, but its in-house setup had a single power supplier and no critical redundancies, creating outage risk. The results included improved uptime and compliance, lower cost of ownership, reduced power and infrastructure costs, and more time for Goodwill to focus on community programs. CoreSite also helped Goodwill address a power overdraw issue quickly and supported its mission of diverting nearly 24 million pounds of donated items from landfills in 2023, with less than 2% of donated items ending up in landfills.
